The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding market presence. While the primary focus will be on business development, the candidate should have a basic understanding of accounts & budgeting to effectively align proposals, costing, and client deals with organizational financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in domestic and international markets.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
- Prepare and deliver impactful business proposals, presentations, and pitches.
- Negotiate contracts and close business deals to achieve revenue targets.
- Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and industry trend analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of projects and services.
Accounts & Budgeting (Basic Knowledge)
- Coordinate with the accounts team for client quotations, billing, and payment follow-ups.
- Understand project costing, margins, and budgeting to prepare competitive proposals.
- Ensure basic compliance with financial terms and payment terms in contracts.
- Assist management with financial insights related to business deals when required.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong sales and business development skills with proven track record.
- Excellent communication, networking, and presentation abilities.
- Negotiation and client relationship management expertise.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in business development, sales, or client management.
- Exposure to accounts/finance processes will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Exhibitions & Events Industry Candidates preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Exhibition Operations & Execution

- Monitor onsite event activities to ensure compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

- Liaise with vendors for fabrication, AV setup, catering, branding, security, and housekeeping.

Administration & Reporting
- Maintain documentation for contracts, payments and approvals.
- Assist in budgeting, cost tracking, and post-event reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for exhibition space, facility rentals, and banquet sales.
- Identify and target potential exhibitors, sponsors and clients.
- Conduct sales presentations and negotiations to secure contracts.
- Maintain and expand existing client relationships.
- Generate leads and follow up on inquiries.
Marketing & Promotion
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote events and attract attendees.
- Utilize various marketing channels, including digital marketing, social media, and direct marketing.
- Create and manage marketing materials, such as brochures, presentations, and website content.
- Coordinate with marketing agencies and vendors.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
- Provide excellent customer service to exhibitors and clients.
- Address client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate with event operations team to ensure smooth execution of events.
Reporting & Analysis
- Track and analyze sales and marketing performance.
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, lead generation, and marketing campaign results.

- Manage facility sales for the India ITME Society owned facilities.
- Manage Banquet sales for the India ITME Society owned facilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in exhibition, space selling, facility selling, and banquet sales.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English, Hindi, and Marathi will be an added advantage.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
