Senior Officer – Event Marketing

Job Overview

Job Summary: The Candidate will be responsible for driving sales and marketing efforts for India ITME Society's events, focusing on exhibition space selling, facility selling, and banquet sales. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in the exhibition industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients. Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for exhibition space, facility rentals, and banquet sales.
  • Identify and target potential exhibitors, sponsors, and clients.
  • Conduct sales presentations and negotiations to secure contracts.
  • Maintain and expand existing client relationships.
  • Generate leads and follow up on inquiries.
Marketing & Promotion:
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote events and attract attendees.
  • Utilize various marketing channels, including digital marketing, social media, and direct marketing.
  • Create and manage marketing materials, such as brochures, presentations, and website content.
  • Coordinate with marketing agencies and vendors.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Provide excellent customer service to exhibitors and clients.
  • Address client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with event operations team to ensure smooth execution of events.
Reporting & Analysis:
  • Track and analyze sales and marketing performance.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, lead generation, and marketing campaign results.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales and marketing strategies.
  • Manage facility sales for the ITME society owned facilities.
  • Manage Banquet sales for the ITME society owned facilities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in exhibition, space selling, facility selling, and banquet sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English, Hindi, and Marathi is essential.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to manage various communication channels effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communications:
  • Develop and implement corporate communication strategies aligned with the organization’s goals.
  • Manage and maintain the organization’s brand identity and messaging.
  • Develop and execute public relations campaigns to enhance the organization’s reputation.
  • Handle media relations and act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries.
Content Creation & Management:
  • Create compelling content for various communication channels, including press releases, website content, social media posts, newsletters, and annual reports.
  • Manage and update the organization’s website and social media platforms.
  • Develop and maintain a media contact database.
  • Write speeches, presentations, and other communication materials for senior management.
Media Relations:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and journalists.
  • Monitor media coverage and analyze its impact.
  • Organize press conferences and media events.
  • Manage crisis communication.
Internal Communications:
  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies to ensure effective communication within the organization.
  • Create and distribute internal newsletters and announcements.
  • Organize internal events and meetings.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry associations, government agencies, and partners.
  • Manage stakeholder communications and address inquiries.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media relations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies.
  • Strong media relations skills and experience working with journalists.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle crisis communications.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and social media platforms.
