Tamarind Kernel Powder, A Low Cost Thickner For Textile Printing

Thickener plays an important role in fixing colours and designs on textile substrate. Thus, there is continuing search for low cost substitutes for conventional gum thickeners. This study reports that tamarind kernel powder is the ingredient for such a substitute.
